About CAT
Welcome to our unconventional and unorthodox synagogue in West Los Angeles. Founded by the late Rabbi Jerry Cutler, famously known as the “Rabbi to the Stars,” our services are anything but traditional. Our founding members include comedians, actors, directors, and producers from the Golden Era of cinema and television, and this vibrant history is reflected in our services—reminiscent of the days of Sid Caesar, Ed Sullivan, and the Catskills.
Cantor and Intern Rabbi Chelsana Cutler will be leading the revival of Creative Arts Temple, beginning with High Holiday services. As we embark on this new chapter, we are seeking dedicated board members who share our vision for a vibrant, inclusive Jewish community and our commitment to expanding programs, outreach, and meaningful services.
